Italian Meat Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Unsliced loaf of healthy whole grain bread of choice approximately 9 x 5 inch
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise or garlic aioli 15 mL, optional
  • 2 Tbsp grainy mustard or pesto 30 mL, optional
  • 5 oz prosciutto thinly sliced, 150 g
  • 7 oz chicken breast thinly sliced, 200 g
  • 2 cups arugula 500 mL
  • 5 oz burrata cheese 150 g
  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Slice bread loaf in half horizontally, as if making a large sandwich. Spread mayonnaise and mustard or pesto, if using, on one side. Layer meats, burrata cheese, and arugula to build sandwich.
  • Cut into 6 equal portions and serve.
