This raw-food treat combines top anti-inflammatory agents, including tart cherries and omega-3-laden walnuts. A daily bite or two of antioxidant-rich dark chocolate (at least 70 percent cacao) is a worthy anti-inflammatory treat.

Ingredients
- 2 cups dried sour cherries
- 8 medjool dates pitted
- 2/3 cup walnut pieces
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut, plus more for rolling
Instructions
- Finely chop dried cherries, dates, and walnuts and combine in a large mixing bowl. Add orange juice, cinnamon, chocolate chips, and coconut. Mix together with hands, working into a sticky mass. Mixture should hold together; if necessary, add another chopped date or a little more juice.
- With clean, slightly wet hands, roll mixture into walnut-shell-size balls. Roll in excess shredded coconut, if desired. Gently place into an airtight container and refrigerate. They will become firmer as they cool.
