Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup organic sprouted quick oats
- 1/2 cup superfine almond flour
- 1/4 cup (unrefined coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 Anjou pears sliced
- 1/4 cup pure organic maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and swirl until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Set aside to cool.
- In bowl, mix oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, pecans, and all spices. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, toss sliced pears with maple syrup and half of browned butter.
- Take remaining half of browned butter and mix into oat mixture.
- Spread pears into a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking dish and sprinkle oat mixture overtop.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and pears are tender.
- Serve warm, optionally with a dollop of Greek yogurt or coconut whipped cream.
