If you want to treat your furry pal, there’s no better way than whipping up a healthy treat just for them. These two options are not only nutritious for dogs and cats, respectively—but also super easy. You might even get some cuddles as a reward for all your hard work!
For dogs: Peanut Butter Popsicles
Mix 1 cup unsalted and unsweetened peanut butter without xylitol (it’s toxic for dogs), half of a mashed ripe banana, and water as needed for optimal freezing consistency. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze treats for several hours or overnight. Serve.

For cats: Kitty Croutons
Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix one 5 oz can drained tuna with 1/2 cup white cornmeal, 1/2 cup rice flour, 1 Tbsp catnip, and 1/2 cup water. Use your hands to roll small croutons. Place the croutons on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until browned and crunchy. Allow treats to cool completely and serve. Refrigerate the remainder for up to a week.
