1poundsweet potato (about 1 large potato), peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
1mediumcarrot, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
1/4cuphot milk
1/2smallpear, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch chunks
1tablespoonorange juice
1/2tablespoonbutter, melted
Pinch ofsaltoptional
Instructions
Steam sweet potato and carrot chunks until fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Transfer to food processor or blender. Add hot milk and purée. Add pear, orange juice, butter, and salt, if using. Purée until very smooth.
