Laura’s Lean Beef Stuffed Pepper Jack Burger
Ingredients
- 1 pound Laura's 92% Lean Ground Beef or 96% Lean Ground Round
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 4 slices reduced-fat Monterey Jack cheese
- 6 whole-grain buns toasted
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 organic tomato slices
- Purple onion slices, avocado, salsa for toppings
Instructions
- Combine the lean ground beef with the next 4 ingredients. Shape into 12 equal-sized patties for 6 servings or 16 patties for 8 servings.
- Top the 6 patties with cheese, tearing cheese slices as needed to fit. Cover with the remaining patties, making a sandwich and pressing the edges to seal.2.
