Zesty orange notes highlight this dark chocolate fondue that is simply sinful. This decadent dessert is even more tempting as a gluten-free indulgence, while adding Grand Marnier and Cointreau makes it a fun adult option.
Dark Chocolate Fondue with Orange Essence
Instructions
- Using a microplane, zest both oranges. Set a bit of peel aside. Reserve oranges for another use.
- In a medium saucepan, bring milk to a simmer over high heat, stirring occasionally to ensure milk doesn’t scorch on the bottom of the pan.
- Once milk is simmering, reduce heat to low and gradually add chocolate chips, ½ cup at a time. Stir until chocolate is melted and incorporated; then add the next ½ cup, repeating until all chocolate is added and melted.
- Stir in vanilla, Grand Marnier or orange flavoring, salt and orange zest. Transfer mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm. Garnish with orange peel.
