Try making smoothie packs with any of your other favorite ingredient combos. Simply bundle up items like fruits, vegetables, herbs, and seeds and freeze them. Then blend with your liquid of choice and last-minute add-ins like yogurt, protein powder, nut butter, and spices.
Carrot-Orange Smoothie Packs
Ingredients
- 2 medium-sized carrots, peeled and chopped into 1/2 inch chunks
- 1 large orange bell pepper, seeds removed, quartered
- 2 oranges, peeled and quartered
- 2 large bananas, peeled and chopped into 1 inch chunks
- 1 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 8 Tbsp hemp seeds
- 4 cups milk or unsweetened nondairy milk, gluten free if desired, divided
- 2 cups plain Greek-style yogurt, divided
Instructions
- Divide carrots, bell pepper, oranges, bananas, ginger, and hemp seeds among 4 airtight freezer containers. Seal containers shut and place in freezer to freeze contents.
- To make a smoothie, place 1 cup milk or nondairy milk, 1/2 cup yogurt, and contents of 1 frozen Carrot-Orange Smoothie Pack in blender and blend until smooth. If needed, add more liquid to help with blending.
