Mandarin Orange Spice Chicken These chicken pieces make nice hors d’oeuvres at a cocktail party, or you can bring them along on a family picnic. You can always tell the kids these are chicken nuggets.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Marinate Time: 3 hours to overnight
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
4 Mandarin Orange Spice tea bags
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed into 1-inch squares
2 1/2 cups water
2 teaspoons crushed garlic (3 cloves)
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1/2 cup flour
4 tablespoons peanut oil
1. Combine the tea bags, chicken, water, garlic, and soy sauce. Marinate for at least 3 hours (overnight is best). Remove the chicken, and coat each piece in flour. Sauté the Chicken cubes over medium heat in peanut oil until golden brown and cooked through (about 10 minutes).
Mandarin Orange Spice Dipping Sauce Cooking Time: 15 to 20 minutes
1/2 cup water
2 Mandarin Orange Spice tea bags
3/4 cup orange marmalade
2 teaspoons cornstarch
Boil water, and steep the tea bags for 5 minutes before removing them. Add the marmalade and cornstarch, reduce heat to medium, and stir continuously until the sauce is thickened (5 to 10 minutes).
