Beet greens, chard, collard greens, dandelion greens, kale, mustard greens, turnip greens and watercress are all good sources of vitamin A, folate, vitamin C, calcium and iron — vitamins and minerals which research shows help lower risk of cancer, heart attack and birth defects.

Being flexible is a healthy state of mind. If you feel emotionally bogged down, try exercise and meditation. Also, take calcium/magnesium to help lift your spirits, B-complex vitamins to calm your nerves, chromium to balance blood sugar, and St. John’s wort or SAM-e to elevate your mood.

According to the ancient art of feng shui, you are your home. Make your dwelling a sanctuary by surrounding yourself with your favorite colors, plants, art and music. Buy a small desktop fountain, burn aromatic candles, install a fish tank or hang wind chimes.
