Serves 2 / A classic breakfast preparation, updated with spices and nuts. Add a little crème fraîche et voila! You have a great dessert, too!
1 large ruby grapefruit, halved
1 heaping teaspoon walnuts
1/4 teaspoon whole coriander seed or 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon brown sugar 1.
Preheat broiler. Loosen grapefruit sections with a knife. Using a mortar and pestle, crush walnuts with coriander, then mix with brown sugar. Spread mixture evenly on grapefruit halves. Place halves on a baking sheet and broil for about 4 minutes, or until tops are a little bubbly and starting to crust over. Serve warm.
