Steve Stefano grew up in a small, blue collar town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, called Lansdowne. It is there that he learned, developed and honed his skills for a leadership style whose foundation consists of the right mixture of common sense and heartfelt values. Stefano, who is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College has been a Senior Executive at Glaxo since 1993, and is known mostly for his work in directing the company’s commercial strategy, and for fostering an empowered and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the divisions which he has led. He began his career as a sales representative and it is from this beginning that he learned the commercial fundamentals of the pharmaceutical industry. As he progressed up the corporate ladder, he learned very valuable leadership lessons from his many mentors and from his varied business challenges. He is a frequent speaker within the healthcare industry on topics ranging from commercial strategy to leadership values. Avoiding the typical self-help style, Stefano has addressed thousands of executives with memorable messages and stories designed to help individuals learn to lead through values and to inspire through their hearts. He is known throughout his company and his industry as a colorful, pragmatic and passionate leader of people. Steve lives with his wife, Denise, in Cary North Carolina. They have one daughter, Jackie, who was a four-year varsity cheerleader at North Carolina State and a scholar athlete. |
