Check out the progress in #naturalbeauty! Here are 5 new natural beauty products to watch for via @deliciousliving
Yes, there's a natural version of that. As natural beauty products continue to diversify, expect to see more cleaned-up personal hygiene products, makeup and more.
At Natural Products Expo, a semi-annual conference hosted by New Hope Network, Delicious Living’s parent company, the best natural products shine bright. This year, lucky for me (and all of you, too), natural beauty shined. While luxurious plant-based makeup, well-formulated beauty supplements, potent skin care and hot new ingredients continued to be on display, less glamorous but totally necessary personal hygiene products also stood out—think natural deodorants and holistic first aide ointments.
Here are a few of our favorites in skin care, deodorant and beauty from within. Look for these up-and-coming products to hit the shelves at your local natural retailer.
Pacifica Cactus Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic
Once again, hot food ingredients make their way into beauty products. This time, the beverage category’s cactus water appeared in a whole line of facial skin care products from Pacifica—makeup removing wipes, facial wash, micellar cleanser, mask and lotion. Why apply cactus to your face? Cactus extract is a powerful antioxidant that may support healthy aging. Pacifica’s take on a micellar cleanser combines cactus fruit with other plant waters such as grapefruit and rosemary for a refreshing, non-drying facial tonic.
INIKA Certified Organic Lip Glaze
We’ve loved this beautiful makeup line since it hit the U.S. market several expos ago, and its latest launches are no exception. A blend of organic castor seed oil, carnauba wax, vanilla oil and fruit extracts create luscious glazes in colors called lychee, watermelon and berry. We’re also fans of the new organic lip serum—a moisturizing formula meant to be layered under a gloss or lipstick and are packed with fatty acid-rich sea buckthorn oil to ensure lips stay supple long after you add color.
Little Moon Deodorant
Fresh out of Colorado’s Steamboat springs, this artisan bath and body company specializes in products like massage oils, body mists and bath salts geared toward alleviating soreness, muscle tension, cramps and more. In addition to those small-batch, plant-based products, its latest deodorant launches struck us as fun and unique because they play up herbal blend focused on making you feel good, while smelling good—think invigorating Tired Old Ass or restorative Peaceful Forest.
Reserveage Beauty Shot
Shots! Shots! Shots! Get ready for your beauty shot, because even the healthiest of us were getting in on it with these refreshing, beautifying shots of collagen and, well, pure deliciousness. A refreshing evolution of the booming collagen category, these sugar-free beauty indulgences contain efficacious dosages of collagen peptides, along with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C to further support vitality. The two flavors, Watermelon Mint and Cucumber Apple were equally satisfy to our taste buds and we love that the company knew that sugar was a no-no for beauty.
Earth Mama GingerAid Deodorant
Deodorants were so fresh and so clean at the show; those that caught our eye were more targeted to deliver benefits beyond deodorizing and deliver those benefits to a range of consumers. Earth Mama developed a version that uses ingredients catering to a woman’s changing hormones during and after pregnancy (fluctuating hormones can affect pH), which is also a critical time for women to focus on clean products in general. GingerAid Deodorant was formulated for pregnancy and breastfeeding, making it a sensitive-skin go-to that is totally pure and toxin-free and contain organic citrus and settling ginger.
