I've loved working with Delicious Living for 16-plus years; now it's time for me to pause, rest, and reflect.
After 16-plus wonderful years with Delicious Living, March is my last month at the helm as I embark on a sabbatical to rest, refresh, and ponder what’s next. (First stop: La Jolla, California, my childhood summer playground, pictured above.)
Have you ever noticed the root of the word sabbatical? It’s sabbath, from the Hebrew shabbat, to rest. Like most people in our superproductive society, at times I’ve been guilty of overlooking this critical human need: to completely pause from work and simply renew body and soul (ideally at least once a week). As much as I’ve loved and still love everything to do with the natural lifestyle and creating useful, current, and inspiring health content, it’s time for me to heed perhaps the most fundamental aspect of wellness: creating space for being rather than doing.
I leave you in the capable hands of the amazing Delicious Living team members, whom I know will continue to produce terrific recipes, insightful product reviews, and scientifically sound health information to help you (and me) eat and feel better. My gratitude goes out to them and to my heroes, the passionate people of the natural products industry: pioneering and dedicated natural retailers, tireless organic champions and non-GMO activists, innovative entrepreneurs disrupting the status quo with mission-based, truly healthy products promoted with social-media savvy. Every day, I’m glad I know such people.
And my deepest thanks to you. Your letters, emails, calls, tweets, and posts have surprised, chastened, instructed, and delighted me every day. Please keep in touch; drop me a line or subscribe to my blog at elisabosley.com. Delicious Living will always be a treasured part of my story and, I hope, will always continue to be part of yours.
