Food has always made a significant impact on our immune health. Making sure we eat meals rich in super nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin D, or zinc helps keep our immune systems working hard to fend off nasty viruses.
For this month (and beyond!), put some extra focus into what you cook for yourself to make sure it’s filled with immune health boosters. Choose whole foods such as whole grains, fruits and veggies, and healthy fats such as olive oil.
Our favorite tip? Eat the rainbow! Shop for fruits and vegetables in diverse colors, such as red, orange, yellow, white, green, and purple, and start your mornings off with a colorful (and antioxidant-packed) smoothie. Try new and exiting ingredients as well, like goji berries, moringa, or spirulina.
Also, ask your health care practitioner which supplements might benefit you that you can eventually incorporate into your cuisine. Let’s protect our health, one meal at a time!
