I'm feeling thankful already: Two leading organic brands, Organic Valley and Simply Organic, have put together a terrific online Thanksgiving shopping and menu guide to simplify and de-stress Thanksgiving, putting the focus on fellowship and gratitude. It's a neat planner, with a countdown calendar, printable or email postcard invitations, recipes, shopping lists, even a couple of word games for the kids. And yes, you can cook up an organic Thanksgiving meal without spending a fortune. According to Simply Organic's senior brand manager, Kory Kazimour, "by using our meal planner, to serve 8 to 10 people, the total cost is less than $11 per person — and that’s based on using organic ingredients wherever possible. There aren't many restaurants where you can order an organic meal, including appetizers, turkey, sides and dessert, for less than that price." (I'm going to try their recipe for Crock Pot Spinach Dip — yum.)
