Neti, or nasal irrigation, is a traditional, simple, and effective way to relieve symptoms of allergies and the common cold. Special neti pots, available at natural products stores, make the process easy and comfortable. As the liquid passes through your nasal cavities, it soothes inflammation and flushes out impurities, providing almost immediate relief.
Nose Unstuffer
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 pint lukewarm water
A few drops eucalyptus oil (optional)
1. Dissolve salt and baking soda in water and place in a neti pot. Lean over the sink from the waist and tilt your head to one side.
2. Place the spout tip against the upturned nostril. Tip the neti pot to allow the solution to flow gently into the nostril, across the nasal cavity, and out the other nostril.
