A partnership with iPhone app Astrid lets you add Delicious Living recipes to your to-do list—and share them with others.
About a month ago, I connected with Jon Paris, CEO of Astrid.com, a free to-do list app. (In the spirit of full disclosure: My son also works for Astrid … but I promise I would like it anyway.) The fun thing about this app is that you can share your to-do items with others, so there’s a social aspect.
Anyway, Jon told me that Astrid was rolling out Featured Lists on their iPhone platform and thought Delicious Living recipes would be a great addition. Given that Astrid's mission is to help people be "happier, healthier, and more productive," I agreed wholeheartedly.
I put together a quick list of DL recipes—“10 delicious vegan holiday dishes”—that Astrid rolled out in December. That was followed in early January by “10 low-cal dinners you must try.” (You can see both of them in the screen shot at right.) Once Astrid is on your iPhone, you simply click on the Featured Lists link in the app, then on the recipe list itself to see the recipe titles; click on any one recipe and it will take you to the full link on our website.
The really cool thing is that you can add any of the recipes (or even the entire list) to your to-do list, with all the benefits (reminders, sharing, organization, etc.).
Check it out and let me know what you think! And if you have ideas for other list topics you’d like to see, let me know.
