You’ve bought a superfood powder. Maybe it’s a tub of a gorgeous greens or reds blend, or perhaps you’ve finally nabbed a bag of that one ingredient you’ve always wanted to try (baobab powder, anyone?).
Now you’ve got to use the stuff. And if you think your only option is to stir it into a glass of water or blend it into your morning smoothie day after day … it’s not!
Consider the green powders we’re highlighting on pages 30-31, for example. Although you can drink matcha powder on its own in hot water, there are many great ways to incorporate it—along with moringa or spirulina powders—into your diet. One of our favorites? Adding these super greens to baked goods! Matcha brownies, spirulina cookies, or moringa muffins are great options to sneak more nutrients into your diet. (Just remember that these powders are concentrated, so a little goes a long way!)
Try it!
- Stir a spoonful of your favorite superfood powder into a homemade salad dressing
- Add spirulina to pesto to turn spaghetti dinner into superfood dinner
- Whisk greens powder into your omelet before you fry it up (you’ll get a Dr. Seuss-approved breakfast!)
- Blend a red superfoods powder together with red fruits and water, and then freeze the mixture in ice pop molds for health-ified popsicles
