Clean grinders. Coffee, spice and nut grinders get gunked up with oils and fragments after repeated use. Those lingering elements can make the instrument less effective and give off some not-so-pleasant odors. To remove all that residue, fill the grinder with ¼ cup of sugar and let ’er rip for two to three minutes. The sugar will absorb the oils and particles as it’s being ground. Then just dump it out and wipe the grinder clean.
