Flavor pasta and grains. When boiling water for noodles, rice, couscous, oatmeal or other grains, drape a few used tea bags over the side of the pot and let the leaves flavor the water. Then remove them just before adding the food. Cooking your pasta or grain in the tea-tinged water will give your complete dish a subtle but rich flavor. Use traditional black tea, or get more adventurous and try green tea, chai or chamomile.
