Launched in 2009, this artisan food company is based in Long Beach, CA. It creates tasty snack foods made with nutritious, and ethically-sourced organic ingredients for people pursuing a healthy, vegan, and gluten-free lifestyle. Culinary artist Linda E. Ikeda, founded and own Jumpstart Bodyfuel. About 18 years ago, she was diagnosed with Lupus along with food allergies associated with auto immune disease. Linda could not find decent and tasty gluten free food at that time. She realized that she better start making her own food. Luckily, Linda has the palate and hands of a sensitive baker. Jumpstart Bodyfuel minimally use machinery so their bars and cookies retain important vitamins and minerals that are typically lost in processed foods. For 6 years, Linda and her staff of 3 made all the products by hand. In the summer of 2016 she had to procure an equipment to help portion the dough and form the bars to keep up with production.
