10 clever uses for salt
Remove watermarks from wood
Use salt to banish those pesky condensation rings that glassware impresses on wooden tabletops, as well as any watermarks left by spills. Sprinkle it over the circles and spots, scrub gently with a wet sponge and the stain should lift out. Alternatively, you can make a paste with 1 teaspoon of salt and a dash of water and then work the paste into wood with a soft cloth. This trick also works to pep up dull, dingy wooden cutting boards.
