8 surprising things you can recycle
CDs and DVDs
Got boxes full of CDs you haven’t played since ’05? Is your DVD movie collection amassing dust on the rec room shelf? If you’ve had a hard time parting with your old tunes and films, maybe this will be the nudge you need: The CD Recycling Center of America recycles used CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, including their cases and paper inserts. The disc material gets pulverized and eventually turned into automotive parts and building products. Just package them up, send them off, and the center will recycle them properly for free (you just pay shipping).
