Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups sugar
- ½ cup seasoned rice vinegar or any other vinegar
Directions:
- Melt the butter in a medium-size sauce pan on medium to high heat. Add the sugar and vinegar. Stir continuously. Wash down the top inside of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in cold water to keep the mixture from adhering to the side of the pan.
- Boil this mixture on high heat for 5 to 10 minutes. It will thicken and may look whitish. Remove from the heat and pour or spoon the mixture on to large pieces of oiled aluminum foil.
- As it cools, you can pull it as taffy with oiled fingers or just let it cool and harden. When brittle, break into small pieces and store in small plastic bags.
