There’s no definitive proof that says mindfulness through meditation, conscious breathing or yoga increases environmental practices.
But some research, such as a 2017 study published in the Journal of Cleaner Production, suggests that mindfulness is associated with more sustainable actions. Try taking a 15- to 30-minute walk in the afternoon; focus on your inhales and exhales as a way to be in the present moment.
