10 clever uses for baking soda
Keep body odor in check
Those with sensitive skin may be able to use a bit of baking soda in the armpit in place of commercial deodorant. Baking soda neutralizes odors and there’s a bonus: it won’t stain your clothes. One method for making your own DIY deodorant is to put ⅛ teaspoon of baking soda in your palm. Add ¼ teaspoon of water to your palm. The mixture should be slippery, so add more water or baking soda as needed. Rub each palm under the opposing underarm and apply the mixture to both armpits. Allow it to dry before dressing, and boom, you’re ready to go free of odor.
