6 ways supplements from the sea can help you achieve health
Jellyfish
That’s right, there is actually a use for jellyfish. One high-profile supplement is a brain-health product called Prevagen, whose active ingredient is a protein derived from jellyfish. If you heard of it, it was likely either from infomercials or the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) announcement in January that the company was making brain claims that were less than genius. The company relied on a study on older people with self-reported mild memory issues who took 10 mg per day of Prevagen for three months. They reported better decision-making and recall compared to a placebo. The FTC said that was well and good, but the company was selling it by making broader memory claims.
