Top tips for picky eaters

We are really strategic about how we introduce food to our kids. I've blogged about it.
But I think the most important of the 10 things I talk about is feeding your babies fresh food (instead of shelf stable jarred stuff) when you first introduce food so that they develop a taste for real food.
For picky kids, I'm not above sneaky vegetables into them — usually with smoothies or smoothie bowls. I have a few recipes that actually contain spinach, but you would never know because I cover up the pigment with macqui or acai powder. If you can get your kids to drink smoothies (ahem, "milkshakes") or nice cream ("ice cream") that's a great opportunity to sneak in the good stuff.
(PS I have a whole cookbook called Beautiful Smoothie Bowls coming out in May that has recipes that are delicious and easy to convince your kid or veggie-hating spouse to eat.)
