Top tips for picky eaters

“People have been programmed to think that food is what it is and it cannot be changed, but this type of thinking is what's essentially hurting people's health and making people who 'diet' miserable.”
I myself am a picky eater, but that's because I have to be, as I have Crohn's Disease, Celiac Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and no large intestine. With all of my autoimmune diseases, I have to be extremely picky when it comes to what goes in my mouth. People tend to have a pity party for me when I tell them about my issues, but I tell them not to feel badly for me because I can still eat delicious foods, it's just all about thinking outside of the box. If I ever crave spaghetti with meatballs, I replace the spaghetti with spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles and make meatballs sans bread crumbs. If I am jonesing for a glazed cinnamon bun, well, I can substitute one part coconut flour and one part arrowroot or tapioca flour for regular flour and then make a coconut cream frosting to drizzle on top. People have been programmed to think that food is what it is and it cannot be changed, but this type of thinking is what's essentially hurting people's health and making people who "diet" miserable. There are replacements for everything, you just have to get creative!
