5. Nondairy creamers
Coffee lovers beware! If you flavor the black stuff with powdered or liquid creamer, you may be, unknowingly, taking in a daily dose of trans fats. Again, you’re not likely to see trans fats listed on the Nutrition Facts panel, but if you scroll down to the ingredients list you’ll see that partially hydrogenated oil is often the second or third ingredient listed.
What’s a coffee addict to do? You could learn to love your coffee black, flavor coffee with milk or half-and-half (or a milk alternative), make the switch to tea, or kick the habit altogether.
If you absolutely need that flavor burst, skip the trans fat with:
