Make ahead
For a no-mess, make-ahead sandwich, wrap each portion individually in parchment paper. When ready to serve, slice each portion in half and enjoy!
- Unsliced loaf of healthy whole grain bread of choice approximately 9 x 5 inch
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise or garlic aioli 15 mL, optional
- 2 Tbsp grainy mustard or pesto 30 mL, optional
- 5 oz prosciutto thinly sliced, 150 g
- 7 oz chicken breast thinly sliced, 200 g
- 2 cups arugula 500 mL
- 5 oz burrata cheese 150 g
- Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
- Slice bread loaf in half horizontally, as if making a large sandwich. Spread mayonnaise and mustard or pesto, if using, on one side. Layer meats, burrata cheese, and arugula to build sandwich.
- Cut into 6 equal portions and serve.
