The secret to simple is premade ingredients

Using a few prepared foods commonly available at your natural foods store, you'll be able to make a luscious dessert in the time it takes your family to clear the table. Try these fast and fun items to get you started.

Graham-cracker crust: Fill with a mixture of chunky applesauce and crushed pineapple. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes; serve with reduced-fat vanilla ice cream.

Individual tart shells: Spoon premade lemon curd into each and top with fresh strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries; sliced melon or kiwi; or a colorful combination of these fruits.

Biscotti: Crush almond or chocolate varieties and layer with reduced-fat whipped topping and fudge sauce for crunchy, chocolaty parfaits.
