How to grill fruit

Don't just go for savory grilling: Master the art of grilling sweet, succulent fruits with these easy tips.

Brush with olive oil before grilling, or marinate

Bananas

Prep: Use just-ripe (not overripe) bananas; slice lengthwise and grill flat

Marinate: 30 minutes

Grill time: 3 minutes per side

Cantaloupe

Prep: Remove rind and seeds; cube or use a large melon baller

Marinate: 15–30 minutes

Grill time: 3 minutes per side

Green grapes

Prep: Wash and pat dry
