Herbal Smoothie Serves 2 The classic smoothie with a twist. This blended treat offers vitamin C, potassium and whatever herbal add-in you desire on a given day.
1 1/2 cups orange juice, fresh-squeezed or made from frozen concentrate
1/2 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt
1 cup hulled and quartered fresh strawberries, frozen
2 fresh bananas, frozen
5 mint sprigs
Any herbal add-in
Pour orange juice into a blender. Add strawberries, bananas and yogurt. Blend until desired consistency. Add ginkgo extract, echinacea, ginger, goldenseal or whatever herbal add-in you desire. Garnish with mint sprigs.
