Makes 2 cups / This tart and zesty drink is a refreshing alternative to traditional lemonade.
Recipe Ingredient Details:
1 2-inch piece gingerroot
1 cup boiling water
3 teaspoons honey (or to taste)
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3/4 cup carbonated mineral water (or to taste)
Peel and slice the ginger. Combine with boiling water; let stand for 10 minutes, then discard ginger. Cool. Add honey and lemon juice; mix well. Pour into glasses and add mineral water. Serve over ice.
