Not sure how you determined this "best" category but I see many "failings" in this formula for healthy eyes!
Specifically:
1. It includes beta carotene as a source of vitamin A. Excessive beta carotene can be HARMFUL for general health, as well as ineffective in eye health (no beta carotene exists in the eye).
2. Carrot Powder? Whatever for?? Again, you're not getting any eye help from carrots!
3. There is no solid science that 20 mg of lutein is any better than 10 or 15 mg (more is not necessarily better).
4. Gingko is OK but if someone has macular degeneration or many other eye disorders, this ingredient is CONTRA-indicated!
5. Eyebright- again, no science that indicates that the Euphrasia Officianalis plant is effective in eye health.
6. Their introductory statement makes no sense: The retina, which uses more oxygen than any other tissue in the body, is highly susceptible to oxidative stress. Unfortunately, the protective fiber cells in the lens do not renew themselves, thus advancing age increases susceptibility to oxidative damage from UV light. In addition, the pupil of the eye shrinks with age, which allows too much light into the retina. Visibili-T provides nutrients vital to macular health, facilitates the transport of nutrients to and waste from the eye, and protects the eye from UV light.*

as you know there is no funding for natural approaches to health therefore your comments about 'no scientific' data is correct....unfortunately our medical professionals are not required to take training outside of the drug box and have a narrow view...... treat illness with no attention to prevention.......or natural approaches

Wow, I could say a lot about this one!!! there is plenty of scientific data about several Nutritionals mentioned here!! If you havent seen it or heard about it, then, you may not know about it!!! I also incorporate Chinese,Ayurvedic,Rainforest Herbals, American Herbals with Unique combinations in the Mix!! Having been used for thousands of yrs, and this may not show any scientific validations either, but then, drugs RX they do, but they also maim and kill, even with all those scientific validations!!!! So one should go carefully!!!

To Jeffrey Ansel
As a customer I would prefer to take a chance a try a natural product with ‘not enough scientific evidence and proof ‘than medical drugs with GARANTEED SIDE –EFFECTS!
